Vehicle Air-conditioning Seals
Malaysia Rubber Board is now able to develop O-rings
from hydrogenerated nitrile rubber (HNBR).
The O-rings passed the following test conditions:
- Air tightness test at 3.53 MPa gas pressure
- Pressure test at 5.30 MPa gas pressure
- Air tightness test after at 24 hrs at 120°C
- Air tightness test after 24 hrs at 30°C
This technology is available for commercialisation
for OEM and replacement market where the value is in excess of RM 2.2 million.
