MICCOS 2009 Soft Launch

The Malaysia International Commodity Conference Showcase (MICCOS 2009) was successfully launched by the Deputy Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities, Y.Bhg. Dato' Hamzah Zainudin at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) on 28 May 2009.

MICCOS 2009 will be held at MAEPS from 13-16 August 2009. The theme for this year is "Commodity Is An Industry". All the agencies under the Plantation Industries and Commodities will join together to support MICCOS 2009. Also presented during the event was the new MICCOS 2009 logo.

Visitors can expect a wide range of latest products as well as technological developments in the Malaysian commodities sector such as rubber, palm oil, timber, cocoa, pepper, tobacco, kenaf, jatropha and sago that will be showcase.

In conjunction with MICCOS 09, the Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) will hold a seminar on 15 August 2009 at Hall D, MAEPS. The seminar, "Sustainability of Rubber Industry" will be a platform to disseminate information on current status of sustainability of the Malaysian rubber industry.

On behalf of Y.B. Tan Sri Bernard Giluk Dompok, the Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities, Y.Bhg. Dato' Hamzah Zainudin and other distinguished guests also released the official car for MICCOS 2009.
