MRB collaborates with LIGS and RISDA to host ‘Transfer of Technology’ Program in Keningau, Sabah

Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) together with Sabah Rubber Industry Board (LIGS) and Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (RISDA) co-hosted ‘Transfer of Technology’ (TOT) Program in Keningau, Sabah on 28th March 2018. The program was attended by more than 250 local smallholders.

The objective of the event is to share latest TOT programs and Good Agriculture Practices to smallholders as well to discuss current rubber issues in Sabah. This event was also a platform for smallholders to express their inquiries or problems related to the rubber industry. Exhibition on latest technologies and activities by these three agencies were also available to expose and increase smallholders knowledge.

The event was officiated by YB Datuk Hj Sairin Karno, Assistant Agriculture and Food Industry Minister cum Liawan Assemblyman. Also present are MRB Director General, YBhg Dr Zairossani Mohd Nor, RISDA’s Sabah Director, En Maizal Hakiman Nawawi and Deputy General Manager Industrial Operations Department, En Liau An Chuan.

During the event, 10 smallholders received agriculture input from RISDA and MRB while 10 other smallholders received PAT-G card and Rubber Production Incentive (IPG).
