Kedah Rubber City Workshop

Malaysian Rubber Board has organised Kedah Rubber City (KRC) Workshop with stakeholders on 14 and 15 November 2017, held at Palm Garden Hotel, IOI Resort, Putrajaya.

The objective of this workshop is to get feedback from related government agencies and industry player regarding the Development of KRC. There were 11 presentations made by the MRB’s officers which have been focused on the potential enablers and eco-system that are needed to promote and support a sustainable growth of KRC. The project owner for KRC is Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA) and MRB has been appointed as Technical Collaborator for this KRC project.

As part of this work, MRB has identified the necessary industrial sectors that could be a catalyse for the development of KRC. There are 7 clusters proposed with the intention to optimum socio-economic benefits and return for the KRC. The participants of this workshop were briefed on this proposed clusters and feedback were also received for the further improvement.
