Hello Komoditi Teluk Intan

The Hello Komoditi Program was held for the first time this year on 25th of March 2017 located at the Dewan Bandaran Teluk Intan, Perak. The program, launched by the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Dato’ Seri Mah Siew Keong was attended by an estimated 700 visitors most of which are oil palm, rubber, cocoa and pepper smallholders.

The ministry invited Malaysian Rubber Board to participate in showcasing MRB’s technology and activities as well as disseminating useful information to visitors. MRB’s exhibition booth focused more on Rubber Processing Center (PMG) and products from Usahawan Bumiputera Industri Getah (UBIG). A comprehensive explanation on PMG reflected a positive outlook towards Malaysia's rubber industry if it is successfully implemented. The Minister spent some time visiting MRB’s booth where Datuk Dr Mohd Akbar Md Said, Director General of MRB shared on the potential of PMG technology implementation in Perak and also advantages of the UBIG program that became the highlight on that day.

In addition, various demonstrations were held whereby most of the visitors were impressed by the balloon making demonstration organized by the Academy Hevea Malaysia under UBIG program. UBIG also held demonstrations on latex painting and invited visitors to make their own painting using the material given.
