En Zakaria Ahmad , a rubber smallholder from Sik, Kedah emerged
as the receipient of the Anugerah Komoditi 2005 (Commodity Award 2005)
for the Smallholder Category while Hartalega Sdn Bhd, a rubber gloves
manufacturing company, received the Anugerah Komoditi 2005 for the
Manufacturing Category. The awards were presented by the Prime Minister
of Malaysia, Dato' Seri Abdullah Hj Ahmad Badawi on 10 August 2005.
Presentation of the Anugerah Komoditi 2005 was part of the Commodity
Week 2005 programme initiated by the Ministry of Plantation Industries
and Commodities.
