	Rubber Industry Awards 2005 Heartiest congratulations to winners of the ANUGERAH INDUSTRI GETAH 2005 (Rubber Industry Awards 2005) comprising individuals and companies from various sectors of the rubber industry. The inaugural event organised by the Malaysian Rubber Board witnessed twenty two winners receiving the Awards from the Honourable Datuk Peter Chin Fah Kui, Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities, Malaysia on 21 July 2005 in Kuala Lumpur. The purpose of the Awards, as explained by Tan Sri Dato’ Abdullah Mohd Tahir, Chairman of the Malaysian Rubber Board, was in appreciation of the initiatives carried out by the various sectors of the rubber industry as well as in recognising the significant economic contributions made by the industry to the country. For the year 2004, the integrated rubber industry contributed RM 19.53 billion to the national economy. The winners are as follows: Category Recipients of Awards 1.
