  MRE celebrates 43rd Anniversary

In conjunction with its 43rd anniversary, the Malaysian Rubber Exchange (MRE) held its Annual Dinner on 18 November 2005 at Shangri-la Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The response was overwhelming as more than 850 members and associates of the rubber industry, and their guests attended the dinner. The dinner was hosted by Y Bhg Datuk Abdul Hamid Sawal, Chairman of the Malaysian Rubber Exchange, who is also the Director-General of the Malaysian Rubber Board.

YB Ng Lip Yong, the Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities who represented the Honourable Minister was the special guest of honour. As had been in the past, the annual event provided the opportunities for the producers to interact with their consumer friends and business associates.

YB Ng Lip Yong also gave away the prizes to the winners of the MRE Golf Tournament which was held earlier in the day.
