Malaysian
Rubber Board (MRB) won 2 silver and 2 bronze awards at the recent
ITEX 2007 which was held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).
The silver award went to the innovations entitled
"Value Addition of Waste Rubber Gloves" by Dayang Habibah Abg Ismawi
and Dr Abu Amu for Environmental & Renewable Energy Category and "Lateral
Rubber Supervisions for KL Monorail" by Dr Kamarudin Abdul Malek,
Asyraf Ismail and Dr Julia Gough for Transportation Category.
The bronze awards were won by 2 other MRB inventions
which were "High-Loading Capacity Shock for Offshore Platforms" by
Dr Kamrudin Abdul Malek, Shamsul Kamaruddin, Ismaliza Ismail and Norazura
Aila Mohd Hassim for Building and Construction Category and "High
Performance Membrane Bioreactor to enhance Wastewater Treatment and
Recycling in Rubber Products Manufacturing Industry" by V. Devaraj,
S. Anitha, Dr Zairossani Mohd Nor, Zaid Isa and Mohd Zin Abdul Karim
for Environmental & Renewable Energy Category. Congratulations
