	Dr Mohd Akbar bin Md Said appointed Deputy Director General      (Research & Development) The Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Mohd Akbar bin Md Said as Deputy Director General (Research & Development) with effect from 1 April 2006. As Deputy Director General (Research & Development) Dr Mohd Akbar would mainly would be involved in the planning, implementing and monitoring of research and development activities of the Board. He will be responsible for charting the future R&D programmes of both the research arms of MRB - the Rubber Research Institute Malaysia (RRIM) and the Tun Abdul Razak Research Centre in the UK. His 25 years of experience in rubber research with MRB would hold him in good stead to co-ordinate, direct and plan the various R&D activities of MRB to benefit the rubber industry and the Malaysian society.   back
