Consultation and Engagement Session Between MRB With MARGMA And MRC to Review The Proposed Improvement of License / Permit Requirements for Rubber Glove Industrial Activities

The consultation and engagement session between the Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) with the Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturer Association (MARGMA) and the Malaysian Rubber Council (MRC) was held on 8 January 2021 at the Conference Room, in Bangunan Getah Asli (Tower), Headquarters of the Malaysian Rubber Board, Kuala Lumpur. The meeting was chaired by YH Dato' Dr Zairossani Mohd Nor, Director General of the Malaysian Rubber Board. Also present were the President of MARGMA, YBrs. Dr Supramaniam Shanmugam, an MRC representative, a representative from the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities (KPPK) as well as several MRB representatives.

The consultation and engagement session took place in an atmosphere of ‘new norms’ in compliance with physical distancing among meeting members in an effort to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infections. This engagement session aimed to review the proposed improvement of new application conditions as well as the conditions on licenses / permits related to rubber glove industrial activities due to the increase in cases or issues that have tarnished the country's rubber industry.
