RRIMniaga Application Procedure Briefing Session at The Johor State Level

The Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) organised a briefing session on the RRIMniaga application usage procedure at the Johor state level, held at the Bukit Gambir Multipurpose Hall, Johor on 22 September 2020.

The programme was officiated by Mr. Mohd Nor Hasan, Head of Licensing and Permits Unit and took place in an atmosphere of 'new norms' in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) set by the National Security Council (NSC) in an effort to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infections.

Participants were briefed on the procedure for using the RRIMniaga application by MRB officers and staff present. RRIMniaga application is a smartphone application developed by MRB for the purpose of recording transactions of buying and selling rubber by MRB licensed rubber dealers. The main objective of RRIMniaga is to obtain the latest data on smallholder production, productivity and local farm level production through licensed rubber traders. These data can be obtained directly online, to replace the conventional method through the use of official receipts and rubber record trading books that require longer time and manpower.

RRIMniaga applications can also be connected directly to the Rubber Transaction Authority Permit (PAT-G) data system. Smallholders will benefit from the Rubber Production Incentive (IPG) claim process without going through the conventional process as this application is integrated with the IPG System.

Smallholders no longer need to go to the MRB office to make an IPG application because the IPG will be channeled directly to the applicant's bank account after going through the current review procedure and the IPG activation price announced by MRB the following month.
