2LGM16ISC/N-001R2 20.00 MS ISO 815-1:2009 Rubber, vulcanized or thermoplastic - Determination of compression set - Part 1: At ambient or elevated temperatures (First revision) (ISO 815-1:2008, IDT) This part of Malaysian Standard 815 specifies methods for the determination of the compression set characteristics of vulcanized and thermoplastic rubbers at ambient (one method) or elevated temperatures.

The methods are intended to measure the ability of rubbers of hardness within the range 10 IRHD to 95 IRHD to retain their elastic properties at specified temperatures after prolonged compression at constant strain (normally 25 %) under one of the alternative sets of conditions described. For rubber of nominal hardness 80 IRHD and above, a lower compression strain is used: 15 % for a nominal hardness from 80 IRHD to 89 IRHD and 10 % for a nominal hardness from 90 IRHD to 95 IRHD.
3 LGM16ISC/N-002R2 20.00 MS ISO 815-2:2009 Rubber, vulcanized or thermoplastic - Determination of compression set - Part 2: At low temperatures (First revision) (ISO 815-2:2008, IDT) This part of MS 815 specifies a method for the determination of the compression set characteristics of vulcanized and thermoplastic rubbers at low temperatures.

The method is intended to measure the ability of rubber of harness within the range 10 IRHD to 95 IRHD to retain their elastic properties at specified temperatures after prolonged compression at constant strain (normally 25%) under one of the alternative sets of conditions described. 4 LGM16ISC/N-003R1 20.00 MS ISO 8013:2005 Rubber, vulcanized - Determination of creep in compression or sheer (ISO 8013:1998, IDT) This Malaysian Standard specifies a method for the determination of creep in rubber continuously subject to compressive or to shear forces. The standard cannot be used for intermittent deformation of rubber.
5 LGM16ISC/N-004R1 20.00 MS ISO 1432:2000 Rubber, vulcanized or thermoplastic - Determination of low temperature stiffening (Gehman Test) (ISO 1432:1988, IDT) This Malaysian Standard specifies a static procedure, known as the Gehman test, for determining the relative stiffness characteristics of vulcanized or thermoplastic rubbers over a temperature range from room temperature to approximately -150°C.
6 LGM16ISC/N-005R1 20.00 MS ISO 18517:2007 Rubber, vulcanized or thermoplastic - Hardness testing - Introduction and guide (ISO 18517:2005, IDT) This Malaysian Standard provides guidance on the determination of the hardness of vulcanised and thermoplastic rubbers.

It is intended to provide an understanding of the significance of hardness as a material property and to assist in the selection of an appropriate test method.
